Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ability to read BOMs, work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Experience operating precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, comparators).
  • Strong time management, adaptability, and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; ERP systems such as JD Edwards.
  • Strong attention to detail with documentation and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on in‑house and vendor parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T to verify product accuracy.
  • Operate inspection and measurement equipment including CMM, Keyence systems, and PMI guns.
  • Conduct quality audits of production areas to ensure adherence to standard work and procedures.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials, defects, and deviations.
  • Inspect and verify finished products prior to shipment to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Perform quality inspections on electronic assemblies and soldering workmanship with ESD safety practices.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation in compliance with ISO standards.
  • Ensure inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and maintained; report issues as needed.
  • Collect samples for testing and coordinate with quality laboratories for analysis.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a reliable and knowledgeable individual to join our Quality team. This role will be responsible for inspecting materials and products, providing quality support through knowledge of inspection procedures and tools, identify deviations, work with production team members to document non-conforming materials and communicate with engineering team within in a manufacturing facility. A Quality Inspector works with a team to ensure all products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate is adaptable, a team player, a great communicator, and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on in-house and vendor-supplied parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T to verify product accuracy and compliance.
  • Operate inspection and measurement equipment including CMM, Keyence systems, and PMI (Positive Material Identification) guns.
  • Conduct quality audits of assigned production areas to ensure adherence to standard work and procedures.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials, defects, and process deviations.
  • Inspect and verify finished products prior to shipment to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Perform quality inspections on electronic assemblies and soldering workmanship while following ESD-safe practices (wrist straps, grounded mats, etc.).
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies to identify defects and ensure product functionality.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and documentation in compliance with ISO standards and company procedures.
  • Ensure inspection tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained; report issues as needed.
  • Collect product/material samples for testing and coordinate with quality laboratories when additional analysis is required.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives including NCM documentation, rework, RTV, and scrap processes.
  • Follow all safety, PPE, EHS, and 5S standards to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs individually or 70 lbs with team assistance and support daily operational goals.
  • Attend training programs to enhance technical, quality, and product knowledge.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of quality experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience using hand, pneumatic, and power tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses.
  • Ability to read and interpret bill of materials (BOMs), work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Experience operating precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, comparators, and similar instruments.
  • Strong time management, adaptability, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SSO logins, and ERP systems such as JD Edwards.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Work Environment & Requirements
  • Fully onsite position in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
  • Required use of protective eyewear and safety footwear.
  • Ability to comply with all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
