Position Title: QUALITY INSPECTOR
Position Summary:Inspectors are responsible to safely inspect product, on time, within the length of time estimated for the inspection operation. Inspectors should be a technical resource for the company in matters relating to product quality.
Reports To: Quality Inspection Team Leader

Accountabilities:Execute quality inspection operations, as described in the Manufacturing Routing, on time and within the length of time estimated for the operation. Actual results in the form of work center efficiencies and non-conformances will be compared to the goals to evaluate whether the goal has been achieved. Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area and to operate in a safe manner.
Authorities:
Determine the steps for executing and documenting quality inspection operations within the bounds described by the Manufacturing Routing and MTM’s Quality System

Educational Experience – Educational requirements may be fulfilled by one or more of the following: high school diploma, education in trade school, vocational education, or apprenticeship.
Experience – Must be a competent inspector possessing math, communication, and computer skills. Previous inspection experience is desired, but not required.

Visual Acuity – Near acuity and accommodation are required for inspection operations, random visual checks, reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts and machinery. Visual acuity testing is required annually. Accommodations must be made as required for reading and inspection activities.
