Job summary

BioHorizons is seeking a Quality Inspector I to work with the Quality team, inspecting device components and finished devices according to procedures and instructions. You will communicate inspection results to Quality supervision, as well as R&D/Engineering and Materials Management, and you will file quality documents and records while supporting special assignments.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ year of quality inspection experience, with preferred familiarity with micrometers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or certificate is required.
• 1+ years of Quality Inspection experience desired.
• Experience with documents/drawings and reading specifications preferred.
• Computer literacy and good communication skills required.
• Hepatitis B vaccination or declination form is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect device components and finished devices per procedures.
• Communicate inspection results to Quality supervision/management, R&D and Materials Management.
• File quality documents and maintain quality files.
• Perform special assignments as directed by supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Quality Inspector I

The Quality Inspector I, works independently as part of the Quality team inspecting parts. It is the responsibility of the Quality Inspector to communicate inspection results to management as well as Research and Development and Materials Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Quality Inspector I, as directed by Quality supervision or management, is responsible to:
• Inspect device components and finished devices follow inspection instructions and established procedures
• Communicate inspection results to Quality supervision or management as well as R&D / Engineering and Materials Management
• Filing quality documents and records and maintaining quality files
• Special assignments as directed by supervision commensurate with experience
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous hand-held inspection instruments (micrometer, calipers, etc.) preferred
• Experience with computerized record-keeping (e.g., documents, drawings) preferred
• Computer literacy with standard software applications, and demonstrates excellent reading, writing and verbal communication skills
• Requires vaccination against Hepatitis B or signed declination form

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or certificate required
• 1+ years of Quality Inspection experience desired
