Job summary

Cox Machine, Inc. in Kansas seeks a Quality Assurance Inspector to perform first‑part and final inspections and support quality metrics in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure product conformity and assist in root-cause analysis as needed.

Supports the Quality and Manufacturing functions by educating employees on quality systems, quality metrics, and customer engineering. Follows the Quality Management System designated work instructions and procedures to ensure a quality product is manufactured.

Job Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of knowledge and experience in a Quality
Assurance role with product acceptance authority
  • Must possess experience using different precision measurement instruments
Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide training, learning and development where appropriate for all employees
  • Partner with other departments to ensure adherence to the Quality
Management System And Other Compliance Requirements
  • Collaborate with operations, leaders, purchasing, customer service and others to efficiently meet customer demands
  • Inspect and evaluate product for quality and defects
  • Provide visibility to Production and Quality supervision of potential quality issues, as well as input on internal perceptions associated with Quality and Delivery performance
  • Work with Production and Quality Assurance personnel to perform in-process review and ensure best practices are followed
  • Perform other related duties, as required to ensure product conformity, internal and external customer demand, best practices and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Complete AS9102 FAIs as required
  • Ensure products manufactured meet all customer and internal
Requirements

Tasks:

  • Make decisions based on customer/regulatory requirements
  • Confer with organizational team members at all levels to discuss issues, coordinate activities or resolve problems
  • Act as liaison between organization and outside organizations
  • Work closely with shop floor supervision and employees
  • Perform 1st part, Oversight, and Final Inspections
  • Complete detailed and accurate FAIs
Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact and deal with internal customers
  • Capability to troubleshoot complex and questionable inspections by asking the right questions to get to the root cause of the problem
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group environments
  • Ability to pass an eye exam
