Job summary

Taylor Corporation’s Venture Solutions division in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00pm–6:00am). You will verify final work against production standards, inspect materials, and document rework as needed.

Strong detail orientation and basic measuring skills are required; English communication is essential. Candidates must have at least 6 months of printing experience in a production setting and be able to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• 6 months' printing experience in a production environment.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Basic measuring skills - read a ruler and other measurement devices.
• Basic problem solving skills.
• Basic computer skills (open, save, print a file, enter data).
• Be able to work extended hours and weekends based on production schedule.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Verify final work product against written instructions to meet production standards.
• Examine materials for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments.
• Return products for re-work and document re-work.
• Explain to operators and supervisors how the product doesn't match instructions.
• Move around to different machines to verify job accuracy.
• Cross-train in different departments to develop skills.
• Report problems or concerns with quality results to senior management.
• Ensure items leaving the door are 100% accurate.
• Input data into the production database.

Worth, TX.**Work Authorization:** To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. **Your Responsibilities:** • Using your eye for detail to verify that final work product (statements and letters), with the written instructions to ensure that they meet production standards • Examine material by confirming required manufacturing or industry specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials • Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work • Able to explain to operators and supervisors how the product doesn’t match the clients instructions • Walking around to different machines to verify the accuracy of jobs • Cross – Train in different departments to further develop your skills (postal, shipping, hand table) • Report problems or concerns with quality results with senior management immediately • Ensure that items that go out the door, are 100% accurate • Input data into the production data base • Learn about our production process and the role that the QA has • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations • Inspects materials and products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments • Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged **Your Shift: 3rd Shift; Monday - Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am** **You Must Have:** • 6 months' printing experience in a production environment • Must be detailed oriented • Basic measuring skills- able to read a ruler and other measurement devices • Basic problem solving skills • Basic computer skills (open, save, print a file, enter data) • Be able to work extended hours and weekends based on production schedule • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal **Requirements Within This Position:** • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials • Frequently required to move inside the facility • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry) **We Would Also Prefer:** • Prior experience within the print industry/fast paced high production environment **About Taylor Corporation** One of the largest print and communications firms in North America, Taylor’s family of companies provides a diverse set of products, services and technologies that address the toughest business challenges.
