Job Summary

CID Attachments is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting materials, components, and finished products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet company quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a commitment to identifying and addressing quality issues before products reach the customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect materials, components, weldments, and finished attachments throughout the manufacturing process.
• Verify products meet engineering drawings, specifications, dimensions, and established quality standards.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Identify defects, inconsistencies, or other quality issues and communicate findings to appropriate team members and supervisors.
• Document inspection results, defects, and non-conforming products accurately and consistently.
• Perform quality checks at various stages of production to help identify issues before the product is completed.
• Assist production teams in identifying the cause of quality issues and communicating necessary corrections.
• Conduct final inspections of completed attachments before they are released for shipment.
• Verify that products are properly assembled, welded, painted, and finished according to specifications.
• Assist with testing finished products to verify proper function and performance when required.
• Maintain organized and accurate quality inspection records.
• Follow established inspection procedures, safety requirements, and company quality standards.
• Work closely with production and other team members to promote consistent quality and reduce defects.
• Report recurring or significant quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, fabrication, welding, assembly, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Comfortable using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to identify defects and inconsistencies in manufactured products.
• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately document inspection results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to learn company-specific inspection procedures and quality standards.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production setting with exposure to steel fabrication, welding, powder coating, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment.
• Requires regular movement throughout production areas to perform inspections.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting throughout the workday.
• May require lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Requires use of appropriate PPE and adherence to all company safety requirements.
