Job summary

RENK America in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure parts meet tight tolerances using precision measuring instruments and written procedures.

You will read blueprints, perform CMM and other inspections, document non-conformances, and support safe, efficient production in a team environment. Must be authorized to work in the US; full-time role with non-exempt status.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
  • Must be able to use standard inspection equipment (ID/OD mics, dial bore gages, calipers, thread gauges, etc.).
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of CMM inspections, Magnetic Particle inspections and SPC is a plus.
  • Good math, language, and reading skills; attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and communication skills; authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Use precision measuring instruments to close tolerance requirements.
  • Interpret precision measuring instruments and written procedures.
  • Plan work from drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Monitor quality and prepare inspection reports; document non-conformances.
  • Identify inefficiencies, defective materials and machining issues.
  • Maintain time and production records; ensure area safety and cleanliness.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Use precision measuring instruments to very close tolerance requirements.

  • Use and interpret precision measuring instruments

  • Work from written procedures, complex drawings and blueprints, sketches, operations sheets, specifications and instructions to plan work operations

  • Monitor quality of own work to assure adherence to quality standards and prepare detailed inspection reports as required, document non-conformances.

  • Determine and report any inefficiencies, defective materials, unusual conditions and machining issues

  • Keep required time and maintain productions records.

  • Responsible for the safety and clean-up of own area

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures


Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

  • Knowledge of CMM inspections, Magnetic Particle inspections and knowledge of SPC a plus.

  • Good math, language, reading skills

  • Visual Acuity

  • Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted

  • Shop environment, exposed to shop elements

  • May work in tight and/or cramped spaces

  • Walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Teamwork and communication skills

  • Must be authorized to work in the US
