Milwaukee Electronics is hiring a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Inspector I to join our team in Canby, Oregon. In this role, you’ll visually inspect electronic PCB assemblies and box-builds to ensure products meet internal and customer quality standards. This position is essential in helping us deliver high-performance electronics across critical industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections of PCBs, electronic subassemblies, and final assemblies per IPC-A-610 standards using AOI, magnifiers, and microscopes.
- Verify products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Perform inspections of SMT, Through-Hole, and rework operations.
- Record inspection results accurately in Factory Logix or daily logs.
- Communicate defects to production teams for corrective actions.
- Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Support team collaboration in daily meetings and quality discussions.
- Adapt to changing business needs and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Dependable team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator and problem solver in a collaborative team environment.
- Flexible and responsive to shifting priorities in a manufacturing setting.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ year of experience in electronics or manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and working with basic inspection tools.
Certifications (Required Within 1 Year)
- IPC-A-610 Certification (provided in-house)
- Milwaukee Electronics Component Identification course
Language & Math Requirements
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to read graphs and performance data.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands/arms; occasional kneeling or crouching.
- Lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Visual ability required: close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work Environment
- Exposure to moving parts, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate-to-loud noise levels.
