Job summary

SolarEdge Technologies is hiring for a manufacturing QA role in Austin, TX. You will release first articles, review electronic assemblies, and conduct process audits to ensure adherence to SolarEdge standards.

The role requires a high school diploma (BS preferred), 3+ years in electronics assembly, strong English communication, and the ability to work shifts. You will use IPC-related knowledge and tools for measurement and inspection to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in electronic assembly environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
• Must be able to communicate in English (speaking and writing).
• Experience with problem solving techniques and analysis.
• Experience in conducting Process Audits.
• Able to work on shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify, log, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and stand for long periods.

Location: Austin TX- We are hiring for first shift (7am-3pm) and second shift (3 mp-11pm)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Release of first articles according to procedures and standards.
• Review of electronic assemblies and subassemblies to determine their adherence to procedures and standards.
• Conduct process audits, and inspect materials from suppliers to verify their adherence to the requirements established by Solar Edge
• Generate and update reports of findings and verify closure of their actions.
• Measurements of critical dimensions.
• Verify/Inspect the quality of assemblies/reworked parts.
• Verify/Validate the execution of tool and equipment maintenance programs.
• Verify the correct use of inspection templates, measuring instruments, Go/noGo tools used to assess product quality.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma required, BS degree or college courses preferred.
• At least 3+ years in similar positions in electronic assembly companies.
• Management of Microsoft Office computer packages.
• Be able to communicate in English (writing and speaking).
• Experience in problem solving techniques analysis and application.
• Experience in conducting Process Audits.
• Able to work on shifts.
• Focus on detail.
• High sense of order and organization, and urgency.
• High analysis capacity.
• Ability to have communication with different levels of the organization.
• Ability to identify, log, and/or troubleshoot issues that arise during production.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
• Standing required for at least 7 hours per day; occasional bending and stooping required
• Mental focus on continuous improvement

Additional Skills

• Certification in IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC-7011/7021, J-STD-002/003 preferred.
