DONSON MACHINE CO, an Illinois-based medical device manufacturer, is seeking an inspector to verify CNC machined parts using micrometers, calipers, vision systems and gauges. You’ll record data and collaborate closely with the team to maintain tolerance and functionality.

Qualifications include 3+ years in manufacturing inspection, blueprint reading with GD&T, and CMM experience (Zeiss/Hexagon a plus). Day shift with potential overtime and a 2nd shift premium are available; benefits include

• Basic Math abilities including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Blueprint reading and understanding including GD&T.
• 3+ years manufacturing inspection experience (mics, calipers and vision system).
• Previous inspection equipment experience.
• 1-2 years CMM experience (preferred).
• Zeiss and Hexagon CMM exp. a plus.
• Manufacturing experience (preferred).

Description

Job Overview

As a member of our quality team, you will be responsible for the inspection of CNC machined parts. You will perform incoming first piece inspections using a variety of methods such as; micrometers, calipers, vision systems and gauges. The inspector will be responsible for recording accurate data and having great communication with the rest of our team to make sure all of our pieces are in tolerance and function correctly.

Our 2nd shift team earn a 10% night shift premium as part of their compensation package.

Shift

• Day Shift (6:30AM - 4:30PM, M-F)* Sat extra overtime option
• Night Shift (4:30PM – 3:00AM, Mon – Thurs) *With opportunity for overtime on Fridays
