Job summary

Donson Machine Company, a family-owned medical device manufacturer in Alsip, IL, is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect CNC machined parts using micrometers, calipers, vision systems, and gauges.

You will record accurate data, communicate with the team, and verify tolerance and functionality. Blueprint reading with GD&T and CMM experience are preferred; training is provided. 2nd shift earns a 10% night shift premium, with day shift hours as listed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing inspection experience (mics, calipers and vision system).
• Blueprint reading and understanding including GD&T.
• Basic Math abilities including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• 1-2 Years CMM Experience (preferred).
• Zeiss and Hexagon CMM exp. a plus.
• Manufacturing experience (preferred).

Job Overview

As a member of our quality team, you will be responsible for the inspection of CNC machined parts. You will perform incoming first piece inspections using a variety of methods such as; micrometers, calipers, vision systems and gauges. The inspector will be responsible for recording accurate data and having great communication with the rest of our team to make sure all of our pieces are in tolerance and function correctly.

• Day Shift (6:30AM - 4:30PM, M-F)* Sat extra overtime option
• Night Shift (4:30PM – 3:00AM, Mon – Thurs) *With opportunity for overtime on Fridays
