Job summary

CNC Industries LLC is seeking a Night Shift Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of precision machined components. You will read blueprints, use micrometers and calipers, verify dimensions and document results.

Training for CMM inspection is provided, with opportunities to advance within the Quality Department. Applicants should have hands-on inspection experience, understand precision measuring equipment, read mechanical drawings, and be able to work independently on

Description

CNC Industries is looking for a Quality Inspector for our night shift. We are looking for someone with hands-on inspection experience who understands precision measuring equipment and can read mechanical drawings.

CMM experience not necessary. If you have a good foundation in quality inspection and are interested in learning CMM inspection, we are willing to train the right person.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Bench Inspector or Quality Inspector who wants to expand their skills and grow into a CMM role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform in-process and final inspections of precision machined components.


• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, indicators and other precision measuring equipment.


• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications.


• Verify dimensions and tolerances meet customer requirements.


• Document inspection results accurately.


• Identify and communicate nonconforming or out-of-tolerance parts.


• Work closely with machinists and production employees to resolve quality concerns.


• Learn to operate CMM equipment with training provided by CNC Industries.


• Assist with other Quality Department responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience inspecting machined parts in a manufacturing environment.


• Comfortable using common precision measuring equipment.


• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.


• Basic understanding of GD&T is preferred.


• Good attention to detail and documentation skills.


• Ability to work independently on night shift.


• Willingness and ability to learn CMM inspection.

CMM experience is a plus, but it is NOT required.

Experience in aerospace, defense or other precision machining environments is also helpful but not required.
