Job summary

Delta Technologies in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Quality Inspection Specialist to perform scanning, conformance requests, and metrology tasks using Laser 3D scanning and VeriSurf software. You will ensure dimensional conformance of injection molds, maintain equipment, and support cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will interpret blueprints and CAD models, understand GD&T, and apply basic metrology techniques. Strong communication and safety compliance are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret blueprints, CAD models, surface geometry, and wireframe.
• Understand GD&T symbols and functions.
• Basic metrology techniques using instruments.
• Experience with Verisurf or similar software.
• Laser scanning of hardware (API, Faro, Romer, etc.).
• Knowledge of injection molds and components.
• Machining, EDM, and mold assembly knowledge.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• 2–5 years related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional conformance for injection mold layouts and requests.
• Oversee maintenance and calibration of quality equipment and gauges.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance system.
• Ensure 5S compliance in the workspace.
• Participate in cross-functional teams.
• Report non-conforming items identified.
• Scan and verify injection molds and components.
• Reverse engineering for direct and indirect projects.
• Operate overhead crane and motorized lift trucks as needed.
• Adhere to Delta safety policies and procedures.

Delta Technologies is seeking an experienced Quality Inspection Specialist to perform assigned scanning tasks, conformance requests, using various metrology techniques and tools including Laser 3D Scanning Machine and Software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dimensional conformance for Injection Mold layouts and various special requests.
• Oversee maintenance and calibration of all quality equipment and gages.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance system.
• Assure the workspace is 5S compliant.
• Participate in cross-functional teams.
• Report any non-conforming items identified.
• Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperation with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Familiar with environmental plant postings.
• Scanning and verifying all assigned Injection Molds and Injection Mold Components.
• Reverse Engineering abilities for direct and indirect projects.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Must comply with all Delta Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Operation of Overhead Crane and Motorized Lift Trucks to handle and move workpieces.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Basic knowledge of Machining, EDM, and Mold Assembly.
• Oral, written and communication skills.
• Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
