Barton Staffing Solutions in Glendale Heights, IL, is seeking a Quality Technician for a 1st shift long-term opportunity. This role ensures manufacturing processes and procedures meet quality standards and supports continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting products and materials, reviewing specs, recording issues, conducting product tests, initiating corrective actions, and assisting in inventory-related improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Quality Dept.
• Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health requirements.
• Basic computer skills for email and data entry.
• Must pass a 5-Panel Drug Screen.
• Must pass a Background Check.
• English requirement; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accept or reject products and raw materials as necessary.
• Review specifications, standards, and test plans; make recommendations.
• Record issues and direct defective products for repair; implement corrective actions.
• Review non-conforming products to determine root causes.
• Conduct testing to evaluate product/process performance in simulated environments.
• Laboratory testing of customer complaints and returned goods samples.
• Direct production teams to shut down filling processes when non-conforming processes are identified.
• Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) before unloading.
• Support other department functions as needed.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions from complaints/returns.
• Recommend process improvements within inventory function.

1ST SHIFT LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY!

Quality Technician

Glendale Heights, IL

• Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm (M-F)
• Pay: $17.00 / hour

The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes and procedures are adhered to, in order to ensure the quality of products.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for accepting or rejecting products as well as raw materials as necessary.
• Reviewing specifications, standards, and/or test plans and making recommendations.
• Keep records of issues found and send defective products back to the production line or suppliers for repair; review and implement corrective actions to the product and/or process while reporting results.
• Review non-conforming products to determine the problems in the manufacturing process and report the root cause found.
• Conduct testing on products or processes to determine how they perform in a simulated environment.
• Laboratory testing of customer complaints and returned goods samples.
• Give direction to production teams to shut down the filling processes when non-conforming processes are identified.
• Retrieval and verification of all Certificates of Analysis (COAs) prior to unloading.
• Assist in various department functions as required.
• Review, implement, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions derived from customer complaints and/or customer returns.
• Make recommendations for process improvements within the inventory function.
