Job summary

West Henderson Hospital, part of The Valley Health System, seeks a dedicated quality, regulatory and risk management leader to oversee QA, regulatory, and patient safety programs across multiple facilities.

Must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field, RN license in Nevada, and at least two years QA/PI plus two years of management experience; proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and hospital software; competitive benefits package offered by UHS.

  • Minimum two years clinical hospital experience, with at least one year in acute care.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

West Henderson Hospital is our seventh acute care hospital in The Valley Health System. It is located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. The 150-bed hospital is equipped to care for patients with a variety of medical needs. Services available include emergency care, cardiac care, neurology care, surgery, gastroenterology and inpatient care for medical needs such as pneumonia. Hospital services include:

  • Emergency care, 24/7
  • Advanced cardiac services, including cardiac catheterization labs
  • Interventional radiology lab for diagnosis and treatment of other medical conditions
  • Neurology care
  • Surgical procedures for general surgery, orthopedics and weight loss
  • Gastroenterology/endoscopy procedures

Job Description

Serves as a liaison for multi-site/facility coordination and oversight of the quality, regulatory, and risk management functions, processes and programs. Responsible for facilitating activities related to the improvement of quality metrics, processes and outcomes, has oversight for grievance program and is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of various patient safety and risk management activities among multiple facilities/sites.

Qualifications

Shift: FULL TIME EXEMPT

Education:

Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.

Experience:

Two (2) years QA or PI experience, and a minimum of two (2) years progressive management experience. Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience in a hospital setting with a minimum of one (1) year in an acute care setting.

Technical Skills:

Computer proficiency to include a minimum of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and hospital software programs, as applicable.

License/Certification:

If RN, current RN license in the State of Nevada.

Other:

Working knowledge of regulations and reporting requirements related to quality, patient safety, and risk management programs.
