Job summary

HHM Health in Dallas is seeking a Quality Improvement Data Analyst to drive data-driven quality initiatives. You will manage external partner HEDIS projects, coordinate performance dashboards, and translate quality data into actionable improvements for clinical and operational teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field, 3+ years of experience in healthcare quality analytics, and EMR experience with eCW preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Healthcare Informatics, Data Analytics, Quality Improvement, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Health Information Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, data analytics, population health, clinical reporting, compliance monitoring, or a related area preferred.
• Experience with HEDIS measures, quality metrics, care gaps, performance dashboards, chart audits, tracers, and value-based care reporting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, data validation, and data reconciliation.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems required; eClinicalWorks ( eCW ) experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret quality measure specifications, identify documentation gaps, validate data, and communicate requirements to clinical and operational teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project coordination, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present quality trends, dashboards, compliance information, and technical data to non-technical audiences.
• Experience coordinating HEDIS, payer, external partner, chart audit, tracer, committee, or quality performance initiatives, including tracking action items and deliverables.
• Strong commitment to data accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, continuous quality improvement, and collaboration with clinical teams, operational leaders, analysts, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage external partner HEDIS projects, including project coordination, timeline monitoring, data follow-up, measure review, and communication with external stakeholders.
• Coordinate performance dashboards to reflect measures and align with reporting expectations.
• Collect, validate, analyze, and summarize quality improvement data from internal systems, external partners, clinical teams, and other approved data sources.
• Monitor HEDIS measures, compliance indicators, care gaps, quality trends, and performance outcomes to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Co-chair the MRSC committee, prepare agendas, review performance data, coordinate follow-up actions, and support committee documentation.
• Conduct and coordinate chart audits and tracers based on patterns, trends, performance gaps, compliance concerns, or quality improvement priorities.
• Develop, update, and maintain dashboards and visual reporting tools for leadership, clinical teams, committees, and external reporting needs.
• Train staff on documentation requirements, eCW workflows, and best practices that support compliance with quality measures and organizational performance goals.
• Support data-driven quality improvement initiatives, including intervention tracking, outcome monitoring, compliance review, and follow-up reporting.
• Ensure data definitions, reporting timelines, measure specifications, audit tools, and documentation expectations are applied consistently across projects.

The Quality Improvement Data Analyst supports organizational quality improvement, compliance, and performance measurement initiatives through data analysis, reporting, dashboard coordination, external partner project management, and clinical documentation support. This role is responsible for managing external partner HEDIS projects, coordinating internal and external performance dashboards across all applicable measures, and helping translate quality data into actionable improvement opportunities for clinical and operational teams. The position also co-chairs the MRSC committee, supports chart audits and tracers based on identified patterns or trends, assists the PRN analyst with deliverables related to visual displays of organizational achievements and compliance, and serves as a resource for eCW documentation practices that support metric compliance.

• Manage external partner HEDIS projects, including project coordination, timeline monitoring, data follow-up, measure review, and communication with external stakeholders.
• Coordinate performance dashboards to ensure all applicable internal and external measures are accurately reflected, updated, and aligned with reporting expectations.
• Collect,validate, analyze, and summarize quality improvement data from internal systems, external partners, clinical teams, and other approved data sources.
• Monitor HEDIS measures, compliance indicators, care gaps, quality trends, and organizational performance outcomes toidentifypatterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Co- chair the MRSC committee, including preparation of agendas, review of relevant performance data, coordination of follow-up actions, and support for committee documentation.

• Work closely with clinical teams to provide key feedback, communicate opportunities for improvement, and support actions needed to meet quality and compliance expectations.
• Become proficient in eCW and serve as a resource for appropriate documentation workflows that support metric compliance, quality measure capture, and accurate reporting.
• Train staff on documentation requirements, eCW workflows, and best practices that support compliance with quality measures and organizational performance goals.
• Support data-driven quality improvement initiatives, including intervention tracking, outcome monitoring, compliance review, and follow-up reporting.
• Ensure data definitions, reporting timelines, measure specifications, audit tools, and documentation expectations are applied consistently across projects.
• Maintain organized documentation of reports, methodologies, source files, audit findings, tracer results, meeting follow-up items, and dashboard updates.
• Prepare clear, concise written and visual summaries for leadership, committees, clinical teams, and other internal stakeholders.
• Protect confidential information andcomply withall applicable privacy, security, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other quality improvement, reporting, dashboard, audit, and data-related duties as assigned.
