Job summary

Acacia Network in New York City seeks a Quality Improvement Coordinator under the Corporate Compliance Officer to analyze clinical documentation, review compliance requirements, and report audit findings to leadership for corrective action.

You will lead CQI projects, monitor behavioral health records, and develop systems to improve patient outcomes and the accuracy of documentation, while ensuring adherence to OMH, OASAS and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required in social/health field.
• Undergraduate degree preferred in related fields.
• 2+ years in project coordination, audit readiness or care management preferred.
• 1+ year experience in mental health/primary care/substance abuse setting required.
• Knowledge of OMH, OASAS and Health Homes concepts.
• Proficient in ICD-10 and CPT codes; medical terminology familiarity.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and federal/state compliance guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Concurrent reviews of OASAS and OMH records to verify completeness and compliance.
• Lead behavioral health electronic record reviews and performance improvement projects.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on audit findings.
• Ensure audits are complete, accurate and timely.
• Facilitate monthly CQI meetings; monitor program chart audits.
• Develop systems to measure patient outcomes and satisfaction; drive improvement.
• Establish compliance tracking with timeliness as required by regulation.
• Provide routine and ad hoc audit reports with trend analyses.
• Coach staff as part of quality assurance training.
