Descripción del empleo

TMC USA is the U.S. subsidiary of TMC Group, a Dutch-origin engineering and industrial services company. We commission and start up mission-critical facilities — data centers, water treatment plants, advanced manufacturing, energy, and e-commerce/retail — with about 125 field professionals across the U.S., Mexico and Canada. We also support clients' R&D needs.

We run on Employeneurship: every consultant operates with an owner's mindset, takes initiative, and shares in the company's growth. We're headquartered in Miami Beach, FL, with a secondary hub in Denver, CO.

The Quality, HSE & Compliance Manager is TMC USA's single owner of safety, quality and data compliance. The role has three pillars, in order of weight:

  • Safety Officer (about 60%) — own our HSE program, keep TMC qualified on client contractor-management platforms, and train our people in the field.
  • Quality & ISO certification (about 25%) — lead ISO 9001 and any further certifications.
  • Data compliance (about 15%) — keep us compliant with European and U.S. data protection rules as a European-owned company.
Responsibilities — Safety Officer (primary)
  • Onboard TMC and keep it in good standing on the contractor-management platforms our clients use, such as ComplyWorks, ISNetworld (ISN), Avetta and similar systems in oil & gas, energy, chemicals, utilities and manufacturing.
  • Prepare and submit safety programs, written plans, insurance documents, questionnaires and audits required by each platform and client.
  • Track and report safety statistics — TRIR, DART, EMR, OSHA 300/300A logs and incident history — and keep grades current so we never lose eligibility to bid or work.
HSE program
  • Build and maintain TMC USA's HSE management system: policies, site-specific safety plans, job hazard analyses, lockout/tagout, permit-to-work, PPE, stop-work authority and emergency response.
  • Align our program with OSHA (29 CFR 1910 and 1926) and with client and site requirements, including Canada and Mexico where our people work.
  • Lead incident reporting and investigation, root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and share lessons learned across the team.
  • Run field safety audits and site visits; be the HSE point of contact for clients during pre-mobilization and on site.
Training
  • Build an annual safety training plan by role and site, and track every employee's certifications and expiry dates (OSHA 10/30, first aid/CPR, NFPA 70E, confined space, fall protection, client-specific orientations).
  • Deliver safety onboarding for new hires and refresher training for field staff, in person and online.
  • Promote a safety culture where every employeneur owns safety for themselves and their crew.

  • Assess and lead further certifications where clients require them, such as ISO 45001 (occupational health & safety), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 27001 (information security).
  • Coordinate with TMC Group and TMC Mexico so our quality system stays consistent with group standards.
  • Manage nonconformities, corrective and preventive actions, and client quality complaints.
  • Define and report quality KPIs, including client satisfaction on commissioning projects.
  • Support business development with quality and safety sections of RFPs, supplier questionnaires and client audits.
Responsibilities — Data compliance
  • Keep TMC USA compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as part of a European group, including lawful cross-border transfers of employee and client data between the U.S. and Europe.
  • Track and apply U.S. privacy laws relevant to our operations, such as California's CCPA/CPRA and other state privacy laws, plus rules on employee and candidate data.
  • Build and maintain TMC USA's Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) under GDPR Article 30, covering every processing activity, its purpose, data categories, recipients, retention periods, transfers outside the EU and security measures, and keep it current as systems and vendors change.
  • Maintain privacy notices, data retention rules, data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) where required, and data-processing agreements with vendors.
  • Work with TMC Group's Privacy Team, our IT provider and legal counsel on data incidents, access requests and audits.
  • Train staff on data protection and information security basics.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, recordkeeping and incident investigation.
