Job summary

Control System Integrators (CSI) in Warren, MI is seeking a Quality Health and Safety (QHS) Coordinator to strengthen our QMS and safety program. You will help ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support our regulatory and customer requirements across the site.

The role involves leading audits, developing health and safety initiatives, and mentoring staff to uphold high standards of quality and safety in a fast-paced automation environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality, Health, & Safety management.
  • Experience in developing & implementing ISO quality management systems.
  • Experience in conducting internal audits and safety incident investigations

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the CSI Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Lead and coordinate internal & external quality audits.
  • Monitor the quality & dimensional accuracy of incoming materials from suppliers.
  • Monitor the quality of internal manufacturing & commissioning deliverables.
  • Monitor quality KPI’s and drive corrective & preventative actions.
  • Investigate and document customer complaints, non-conformances, and quality initiatives.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Develop & maintain workplace health & safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA / MIOSHA and other applicable safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety inspections.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead safety training & awareness programs.
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting QSH operations.
  • Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Maintain documentation, records, and certifications.
  • Prepare reports for executive management regarding QHS performance.
  • Promote a safety & quality culture throughout the organization.
  • Train & mentor employees on QHS policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with department managers to improve operational performance.
  • Lead QHS internal auditing team.

About the Role

The Quality Health and Safety (QHS) Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's Quality, Health, and Safety management systems. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and company policies while promoting a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and workplace safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the CSI Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with applicable ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Lead and coordinate internal & external quality audits
  • Monitor the quality & dimensional accuracy of incoming materials from suppliers
  • Monitor the quality of internal manufacturing & commissioning deliverables
