Job summary

Huhtamaki, a global provider of sustainable packaging, seeks a Site Quality Manager for our Los Angeles facility to lead quality and food safety initiatives. You will support audits, continuous improvement, and the supplier certification program while coordinating with Engineering and Operations to meet customer requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of supervisory quality experience in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

Three to five years supervisory experience in a quality department in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and writing skills for internal/external stakeholders.
Ability to interact with all levels of management from corporate to plant floor.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; SQF Practitioner and HACCP training preferred, to be completed within 6 months of hire.
Direct or indirect paperboard food packaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement cost-effective inspection procedures aligned with customer requirements.
Maintain and improve quality-awareness programs and data collection systems.
Lead SQF audits and internal HACCP and Internal Audit Teams.
Oversee food packaging safety for location and assigned customers.
Coordinate customer audits and certifications (SQF, IMS, FSC).
Train manufacturing personnel on quality requirements and test procedures.
Manage supplier certification and MQ program; supervise one Quality Technician.
