Job Overview

We Seek a Quality Excellence Leader

The Challenge is growing the maturity, performance and execution of the overall operations with adherence and integrity to the QMS and accredited Quality systems a must, while reducing the risk of non-conformance, variation reduction and BIQ (Built in Quality).

The Quality Excellence Leader will lead a program of standardized problem solving/ continuous improvement that realises an improved culture of quality, improved process controls, reduced CoPQ (cost of poor quality), reduced customer complaint level, and ultimately supports the achievement of customer satisfaction and improved cost of goods sold

This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will assume ownership over the Quality Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving Program for TE MED for while reporting to Director of Quality.
  • Serve as a deployment leader to the organization for the use of continuous improvement techniques such as the 6-sigma, Built In Quality techniques, Kaizen, DOE, QFD, Variation Reduction, SPC, RedX Shainin, and other improvement methods.
  • Apply and develop knowledge cross-functionally for TE MED of DMAIC/DFSS, RedX, or appropriate tools to solve complex issues at speed with sufficient statistical/experimental facts to drive confidence in change of process requests.
  • Direct the activities of the cross-functional teams to drive prioritized multi-site global improvements.
  • Lead and facilitate the oversight and governance for a Quality CI Global Program within the MED BU.
  • Manage and communicate change efficiently across the organization and where necessary, departments to end customers.
  • Utilize sufficient data/measurement strategies to define statistical capability as/where necessary. (Minitab Expert)
  • Oversee Quality CI development and training; facilitate CI events activities to drive performance in capitalizing on variation reduction, reducing failure occurrence and improvement of yield, and production processes.
  • Works closely with NPD Quality and NPD Development teams to apply DFQ/DFM (Design for Quality/Design For Manufacture) and Built In Quality prior to launch.
  • Ensure that Lessons Learned from Internal Problem resolution and or Customer Complaint knowledge is applied at replicable processes and process/product design.
  • Drives engagement with production and design personnel to participate suggest improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effect change in a manufacturing environment and ensure improvement activity is being communicated, understood, and supported within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups and deliver problem solving and continuous improvement training.
  • Working with the Quality Leadership – develop and execute a strategy for CI across the business that reduces risk is QMS gaps – enhances performance and has a clear financial benefit to the business.

What Your Background Should Look Like

  • Bachelor degree level qualification in Engineering / Quality or related technical field is required for consideration, or equivilant.
  • RedX Shainin and/or Six Sigma Master Black Belt with over 7 years of experience leading improvements embedded in a business – Demonstrated track record of large $ improvement projects
  • Experience Coaching and Mentoring to all levels of an organization
  • RedX Shainin and/or Six Sigma Training and Facilitation experience over 7 years developing training and coaching / mentoring to White, Yellow, Green, Black and Master level – Completed a recognised Trainer / Facilitator Training or equivalent
  • Candidate should possess at least 5-10 years of CI ownership in high-speed manufacturing environment – Must be within a highly regulated operation e.g. Medical, Gas detection, Aerospace or equivalent
  • Highly organized, able to work with limited direction, aptitude for problem solving and analytical thinking supervision, motivated to successfully meet deadlines, attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,200 - $187,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
