Job summary

Kelly Services in East Providence, RI is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to join our electronics component manufacturing team. This hands-on quality role focuses on non-conformance handling, corrective action, root cause analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement, with close collaboration across Quality, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Customer Quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or quality education preferred.
  • Experience in quality, manufacturing, engineering, inspection, or document control.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, NC/CAPA, and corrective action processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working with Excel, quality data, documentation, and quality management systems.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection records.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with IPC standards, FMEA, aerospace manufacturing, or audits is a plus.
  • ASQ certifications such as CQT, CQI, or CQE are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track non-conformance (NC/NMR) records from containment through closure.
  • Coordinate corrective actions and support root cause analysis and effectiveness checks.
  • Help investigate supplier and customer quality issues and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, traceability, and controlled documentation.
  • Analyze quality data, track NCR/CAR metrics, and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements, internal audits, and audit preparation.
  • Assist with FMEA, risk assessments, process improvements, and quality investigations.
  • Review procedures, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and inspection records.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality teams to resolve problems and improve processes.
  • Keep quality files organized, accurate, controlled, and audit-ready.

Quality Engineering Technician – East Providence, RI

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30am–2:30pm Pay: $28–$35/hr

We’re looking for aQuality Engineering Technicianto join our electronics component manufacturing team and help keep quality systems, products, and processes operating at the highest standards.

This is a hands-on quality role focused onnon-conformance, corrective action, root cause analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement.
