Quality Engineering Technician – East Providence, RI
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30am–2:30pm Pay: $28–$35/hr

We’re looking for aQuality Engineering Technicianto join our electronics component manufacturing team and help keep quality systems, products, and processes operating at the highest standards.
This is a hands-on quality role focused onnon-conformance, corrective action, root cause analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Customer Quality teams to investigate issues, track corrective actions, and keep important quality records accurate and audit-ready.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and tracknon-conformance (NC/NMR)records from containment through closure.
- Coordinate corrective actions and supportroot cause analysis and effectiveness checks.
- Help investigate supplier and customer quality issues and coordinate follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records, traceability, and controlled documentation.
- Analyze quality data, track NCR/CAR metrics, and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- SupportISO 9001 and AS9100requirements, internal audits, and audit preparation.
- Assist with FMEA, risk assessments, process improvements, and quality investigations.
- Review procedures, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and inspection records.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality teams to resolve problems and improve processes.
- Keep quality files organized, accurate, controlled, and audit-ready.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or quality-related education preferred.
- Experience inquality, manufacturing, engineering, inspection, or document control.
- Familiarity withISO 9001, AS9100, NC/CAPA, and corrective action processes.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and follow-through.
- Comfortable working withExcel, quality data, documentation, and quality management systems.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection records.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience withIPC standards, FMEA, aerospace manufacturing, or auditsis a plus.
- ASQ certifications such asCQT, CQI, or CQEare a plus.
