Job summary

Autoliv United States is seeking an Engineering Quality Technician to ensure automotive components meet quality standards and customer requirements. You will inspect, test, and monitor processes, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams.

The role emphasizes reading drawings, data analysis, and applying ISO 9001 standards in a collaborative setting on site in Brigham City, Utah.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; ASQ certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of measurement and inspection equipment, with the ability to analyze and present data.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001 standards, production documentation, and traceability requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and basic statistics.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product and process compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and data analysis to evaluate product quality and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce quality standards, control plans, inspection methods, and testing procedures.
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Job description

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that automotive components and products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications. You will support manufacturing operations through inspections, testing, and process monitoring, while identifying and resolving quality issues. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Suppliers, and Quality teams, you will help drive corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with automotive quality systems to ensure product safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

If you have/are:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree and/or ASQ certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of measurement and inspection equipment, with the ability to accurately analyze and present measurement data.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 standards, production documentation, and product traceability requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques and a basic understanding of statistical principles and sampling methods.
