Job summary

UCT in Austin, TX seeks a Quality Engineering Technician II to translate engineering designs into clear work instructions, drawings, and assembly documentation. This role collaborates with engineering to support prototyping, testing, and GMP-compliant manufacturing.

You will develop CAD models, bills of materials, and manufacturable designs to improve production readiness, quality, and efficiency from concept through release.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years electro-mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to develop work instructions and OMS.
• Knowledge of GMP in assembly methods.
• Experience with CAD models, BOMs, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Develops work instructions and OMS for assembly technicians.
• Creates and streamlines manufacturing methods, work instructions, and training materials.
• Implements GMP in assembly methods.
• Participates in design reviews with engineering staff and provides clear inputs.
• Supports design, testing, diagnostics, and modification of prototype systems.
• Creates CAD models and detailed drawings from layouts/models.
