Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks a Quality Manager to support the Ammunition Operating Unit in Plymouth, MN. This role leads a Quality Engineering team handling program quality requirements, quality planning, and performance across the lifecycle of defense contracts.

You will drive continuous improvement, coordinate with supplier quality, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering metrics to leadership. A BP in STEM and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years professional experience, or master’s degree plus 3 years of experience.
• Understanding of GD&T and drawings.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry (ISO9001, AS9100).
• Experience with regulated industry Certified Quality Management System requirements.
• Understanding and application of statistical methods and data analytics.
• Strong written and verbal communication and formal presentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• US Citizenship required and eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 8-10 direct reports and ensure conformance to all quality-related customer contract requirements.
• Assure quality products, services, and solutions throughout each program’s life cycle.
• Ensure compliance to Quality Management System policies and processes.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives for process improvements and continuous improvement activities.
• Drive program planning and schedule reviews to identify and mitigate key risks.
• Develop and improve process metrics to drive organizational improvement.
• Deliver quality data/presentations to leadership and review corrective actions.
