Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Senior Quality Engineering Manager to lead aerospace quality programs at the Boyne City, MI site. You will drive AS9100/AS9100D, supplier quality, CAPA, and risk management, while mentoring teams across Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain.

As a people leader, you will recruit and develop talent, foster a strong quality culture, and report to the Sr Director ISC Operations. On-site work in Boyne City is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering, sciences, mathematics).
  • 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, quality engineering, supplier quality, or operations.
  • 3-5+ years leading quality teams, engineers, or quality managers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead aerospace quality programs, supplier quality improvements, and CAPA execution.
  • Drive compliance with AS9100/AS9100D, AS9102 FAI, ISO 9001, and FAA regulations.
  • Mentor cross-functional teams in Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Develop and implement strategic quality initiatives and metrics.

Job Description

Senior Quality Engineering Manager in the aerospace industry typically needs a combination of technical quality expertise, regulatory knowledge, operational leadership, and people management skills. Internal aerospace quality documents also emphasize compliance with AS9100, supplier quality management, corrective actions, risk management, and continuous improvement.

You will report directly to our Sr Director ISC Operations and you'll work out of our Boyne City, MI location on an On-site work schedule.

Aerospace Quality Systems Knowledge

Strong working knowledge of:

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, quality engineering, supplier quality, or operations.
  • 3-5+ years leading quality teams, engineers, or quality managers.
  • Experience supporting:
    • OEMs (Boeing, Airbus, Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, etc.)
    • FAA-regulated products
    • Aerospace manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional initiatives involving Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customers.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
