Job summary

Bosch USA in Florence, KY seeks a co-op student to join the Quality Engineering team across multiple work terms. You will work at the Florence manufacturing facility designing and improving quality processes for automotive steering components and systems sold to North American OEMs.

You will rotate through roles on problem solving, data analysis, and process improvements, collaborating with engineers and shop personnel to deliver cost-saving projects and enhance product quality.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a 4 year university and be actively enrolled for the duration of your co-op.
• Ability to rotate back at least every other term for at least 3 rotations preferred but not required
• Problem solving, analytical skills, and ability to use systematic problem solving tools

Responsibilities

• Understand Bosch Problem Solving/Troubleshooting Tools.
• Manipulate basic internal databases.
• Understand and change Process Quality Documents.
• Assist in problem solving, containment and corrective actions.
• Assist engineers with improvement and cost saving projects.
• Learn Bosch measurement systems and their use in production.
• Measure dimensions using gauges and tools.
• Understand and perform Gage R&R and capability studies.
• Learn Bosch Production Systems principles.
• Use SPC, Pareto, fishbone, and other problem-solving tools.
• Participate in SPI teams and use the system.
