Job summary

Nordson EFD, a global leader in Engineered Fluid Dispensing, is seeking a proactive Quality Intern to support our Quality Assurance team in a fast-paced plastics injection molding environment. This internship provides hands-on experience with quality systems, process documentation, and SPC, aligning control plans with SPC software and improving work instructions.

Qualifications

Must be currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in an engineering field.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Basic knowledge of SAP and IQMS.
Willing to be hands on in the manufacturing facility.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Self-motivated and the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

Review, update, and create work instructions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with current manufacturing practices.
Assist in aligning control plans with SPC software to ensure real-time data collection and monitoring of critical process parameters.
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality system improvements, including document control, audit readiness, and corrective action tracking.
Participate in root cause analysis and assist in developing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the molding process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
