Job summary

Parker Hannifin Aerospace Group, located in Simi Valley, CA, is seeking an Engineering Intern to provide assistance to the Engineering Support Team. This role aims to build technical proficiency in engineering while addressing routine problems within a regulated industry.

You will assist with designs, experiments and assemblies, perform troubleshooting and qualification testing, and support project engineers with managing and executing projects.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program (Spring 2027 graduates preferred).
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • ITAR requires U.S. person for this role.

Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.

JOB DESIGNATION

The Engineering Intern provides assistance on routine problems to the Engineering Support Team. Gains an overall knowledge and technical proficiency in engineering with departmental objectives.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Assists with engineering designs, experiments and assemblies as requested
  • Performs trouble shooting and qualification testing to support engineers
  • Works to gain overall knowledge and proficiencies with engineering tasks and processes
  • Responsible for supporting unit initiatives
  • Learns and understands systems and processes within a regulated industry
  • Assists project Engineers with managing and execution of projects
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (Spring 2027 graduates preferred).

Years Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience
