Qualifications

Title: Quality Engineering Analyst (Tracking & Trending)

Location: Alameda, CA 94502 (Onsite)

Duration: 12-month contract with possible extensions

Pay Rate: $60-70/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Shift: 8 am to 5 pm (M-F)

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality data analysis, complaint trending, and risk identification efforts in a regulated medical device environment. This role focuses on identifying emerging product and process issues through analysis of complaint, CAPA, post-market surveillance, and quality system data, while ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Statistical analysis
• Excel, Power BI, SQL, JMP, and Python
• Data visualization and dashboard development
• Risk management and post-market surveillance

Ideal Candidate: An independent, data-driven quality engineer who can lead complex investigations, identify emerging risks, work across multiple teams, and communicate findings to leadership while driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

This will be more around the investigation of trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complaint tracking and trending activities using quality databases and analytical tools.
• Analyze complaint, CAPA, and quality system data to identify trends, risks, and emerging issues.
• Support root cause investigations and CAPA activities.
• Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations utilizing Excel, Power BI, JMP, SQL, and Python.
