CACI International Inc. seeks a cleared Quality Engineer to support an Army Program Director at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will plan, develop, and manage quality across programs, ensuring contractors meet contract requirements and Soldiers receive high-quality systems.

You will lead ISO 9001:2015 audits, coordinate with PMs and government partners, review performance, and drive corrective actions and process improvements. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS with extensive relevant experience required; PhD preferred.
  • Lead auditor for ISO 9001:2015 Quality System Requirements.
  • Active Secret Security clearance is required to start.
  • Ability to lead quality efforts on Army/DoD programs with minimal oversight.
  • Experience on Army program offices or DoD programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage quality on programs over their life cycle.
  • Coordinate with PMs, ATEC, and Government agencies as needed.
  • Review performance, assess risk, and make recommendations.
  • Audit contractor quality management systems and procedures.
  • Prepare contract letters and review quality-related data.
  • Monitor DCMA surveillance plans and ensure QALI/MOA where required.

Job Title: Quality Engineer (U.S. Army Program Office)Job Category: Engineering and Technical SupportTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 50%Type of Travel: Continental US* * *The Opportunity:CACI is seeking a cleared Quality Engineer to support an Army Program Director at Fort Belvoir, VA.Responsibilities:Plan, develop, implement, and manage Quality on assigned programs over their life cycle, ensuring that contractors meet their responsibilities for product quality in accordance with the contract requirements, and that systems fielded to Soldiers are of high quality and meet user requirements.Develop quality input for program management documents to include acquisition plans and strategies, source selection evaluation plans, supportability strategies, system engineering plans, statements of work, and specifications, and ensure appropriate contract clauses are called out in PEO contracts.Coordinate with product managers, users, ATEC, and other Government agencies as needed.Review and evaluate system performance, assess risk, and make recommendations.Assure compliance with contractual scope, schedules, specifications, and other requirements.Develop or evaluate sampling plans based on MIL-STD-1916, ANSI Z1.4, or other industry standards.Participate in post awards, program reviews, design reviews, and conferences as the quality engineer.Evaluate design efforts to ensure all appropriate environmental and performance issues have been considered and addressed.Review and ensure adequacy of all test plans, procedures, and reports for assigned programs.Monitor testing to ensure test is being conducted in accordance with approved procedures, and report results to the PM. Ensure effective root cause corrective action for all failures as well as adequacy of validation and implementation plans.Evaluate engineering change proposals and waivers/deviations for quality impact, and conduct physical and functional configuration audits.Prepare contract letters for Quality Lead and COR signature for review of all quality related contract data.Conduct of audits of contractor quality management systems and system assembly and test procedures, to ensure contractor adherence to ISO 9001, the specification, and to all contract requirements.Evaluate contractor quality data, metrics, and process controls.Work with contractors to improve their quality system, processes and implementation of process controls.Provide Product Assurance Suitability Statement for material release.Ensure product quality deficiency reports (PQDR) are adequately addressed.Work with DCMA and monitor support provided on PM programs, ensure establishment of quality assurance letters of instruction (QALIs) and/or memoranda of agreement (MOA) where required, and review DCMA surveillance plans for adequacy.Qualifications:Required:BS Engineering or Equivalent and > 20 years relevant experience or MS Engineering Equivalent and > 15 years relevant experienceExtensive knowledge of and experience as Lead auditor of ISO 9001:2015 Quality System RequirementsSubject matter expert for Quality, and has the ability to lead Quality efforts on assigned programs with minimal oversight from the Government lead.Active Secret Security clearanceDesired:MS Engineering or Equivalent and > 25 years relevant experience PhD Engineering or Equivalent and >15 years relevant experienceExtensive knowledge of and experience as Lead auditor of ISO 9001:2015 Quality System RequirementsHas the breadth of experience and knowledge, and recognition in the Quality community, to lead Quality efforts on assigned programs, and work independently with minimal oversight from the Government Lead.Served as consultant to other team members and mentor workforce on Quality matters.Evaluated methodologies used on past programs, and establish new and innovative strategies for contracting, managing, and evaluating Quality.Developed metrics for evaluating contract QualityServed as Lead AuditorEstablished training material, and train other audit personnel as needed.-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
