Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a QE - Supply Chain Quality Manager to join our procurement team based in Columbus, MS.
In this role you will manage the supplier contract execution and be responsible for supplier (On Quality / On Time) performance. You will also coordinate the interfaces of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier operations management and secure coordination with the corresponding Multi-Functional or Divisional Team.
Meet the Team:The Procurement team's mission is to acquire indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, playing a major role in generating value and supplying to the overall competitiveness of the company. Our team members ensure on-time delivery and on-quality of equipment and systems, drawing on their expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain issues.
Your Working Environment:On the eastern border of Mississippi you'll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It's here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.
How We Care for You:You will be the focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management, and an ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions
You need to be able to manage the supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for on-time, on-quality (and on-cost, when applicable) performance
Assessing the supplier capacity, capability, and performance; and contributing to the suppliers' development is a key element
The SCQM will have a comprehensive understanding of working with customer (internal/external) demands being manifested in various forms of communication (Service Letter Agreement, meetings, conference call, e-mails) and utilizing these through the CI process
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aviation, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field, preferred
Minimum five (5) years of technical experience in the field of Quality, Supply Chain or Engineering
Experience in Root Cause Analysis E.g. Practical Problem Solving or similar 8D type tools
AS9100 Auditor or equivalent training
Team working mindset
Authorized to work in the US
