Job summary

Neapco is seeking a results-driven Quality Engineer to join our Belleville, Michigan facility. The role reports to the Quality Manager and focuses on driving quality improvements across production, supporting TS and Q1 certifications, and interfacing with customers on quality issues.

Candidate will apply 8D/5 Why methodologies, lead training on quality awareness, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure adherence to quality systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5 Why).
• Proficient in creating and maintaining quality documentation and procedures.
• Experience with statistical analysis and Minitab preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain quality documentation such as reports, manuals, and procedures in compliance with record retention policies.
• Respond to customer concerns by analyzing failures and driving corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate quality problems and apply root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why).
• Act as company representative while interfacing with the customer.
• Collaborate with all internal departments.
• Assist with maintaining current TS and Q1 certifications.
• Deliver training to floor personnel to build quality awareness.
• Ensure quality policies and procedures are followed and conduct quality inspections of materials, products, and processes.
• Drive quality improvements on the production floor.
• Conduct quality audits, close out audit findings and determine corrective/preventive actions.
• Address non-conformances using root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Utilize statistical tools to analyze and drive towards problem solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
