Job summary

Linamar is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to coordinate audits and maintain the QMS. You will lead IATF/ISO certifications and customer audits, supporting continuous improvement in production and development processes to achieve high quality, productivity, and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, IATF 16949 Lead Auditor certification, and 3–5 years in automotive manufacturing; strong communication and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; Lead Auditor IATF 16949 certification a plus.
  • AIAG Core Tools knowledge considered an asset.
  • 3–5 years of automotive manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers to ensure all quality requirements are met.
  • Assist Quality Manager with documentation and re-certification of the QMS.
  • Lead and participate in IATF/ISO audits and customer surveillance audits.
  • Coordinate audit schedules and maintain audit reports archive.
  • Support non-conformance, deviation and corrective/preventive action processes.
  • Ensure customer portal requirements are met and documented in the QMS.
  • Maintain KPI metrics for Quality Assurance activities.

Description

Coordinates activities for compliance of, and the improvement of, all quality systems. Provides technical support to investigate, audit, develop and implement continuous improvement for production and development processes to achieve high quality, productivity, and safety. The selected individual will support Linamar’s Quality Department. Other assignments may be given at the Quality Manager’s discretion.

Responsibility
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers to ensure all quality requirements are met.
  • Assist Quality Manager with documentation and re-certification of the quality management system.
  • Interact with various groups responsible for developing documentation to meet quality requirements and verify current procedures by conducting interviews orally or using written communication.
  • Maintain existing procedures to ensure all documentation is written in correct format in accordance with IATF 16949.
  • Review current documentation and modify format as required following the outlined process per the Quality Standard.
  • Participate / Lead IATF / ISO certification, customer, and surveillance audits.
  • Coordinate completion of audits including managing the audit schedule for both on-site, administrating and tracking all Internal/External audits and maintain archive of all audit reports.
  • Manages and coordinates the internal auditing program.
  • Assist the Quality department with the non-conformance, deviation, and corrective/preventive action processes.
  • Assist / Lead customer interface and part approval process, preparing required paperwork.
  • Full understanding customer portals, inputs required, actions necessary to meet requirements. Ensure all customer specific requirements are met and documented in our QMS system.
  • Assist in Maintaining KPI metrics for Quality Assurance activities.
  • Reporting on the performance of the systems for eview and improvement.
  • Maintain / Update / Lead management review report annually with Quality Manager.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers to ensure all quality requirements are met.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements

Bachelors Degree, Certified Lead Auditor IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools knowledge considered an asset.

Required Skills/Experience
  • Three to five years of relevant automotive manufacturing working experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent computer skills (Including, but not limited to: Windows, Office, Visio, Project Manager, and Internet).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Organized with ability to work independently.
