Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Clifton, NJ is seeking an Associate, Quality Engineer to support quality initiatives and help develop processes ensuring products and materials meet standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, investigate nonconformances, contribute to corrective actions, and assist with quality documentation and customer communications.

The role offers exposure to statistical quality control, root-cause analyses, and customer interfacing.

Qualifications

• Eligible candidates must be pursuing or have completed a Master's degree within the last 12 months.
• Master's degree must be in a relevant field (see above).
• Strong foundation in quality concepts and processes required or demonstrated through coursework or experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality processes and procedures using statistical quality control statistics and analyses
• Collaborate with internal Operations, Engineering, and Program Management and external customers to ensure quality standards are in place and followed
• Determine root cause for nonconforming products or materials and implement corrective actions
• Write inspection procedures and review/process in-process rejections and dispositions
• Analyze quality performance and work with Operations Engineers to develop improvement plans
• Serve as primary customer Quality interface including potential customer briefings

Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt

Education

Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Sciences or related field
