Job summary

Anchor Harvey is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer with metal manufacturing experience to oversee inspections and PPAP documentation. You will review drawings, conduct various inspections, and help drive continuous improvement across quality processes.

The role requires an engineering degree and at least four years in quality within metal fabrication. You will collaborate with production, engineering and suppliers and support audits while maintaining essential quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Minimum 4 years of quality experience in metal manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP documentation and submission processes.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Experience with metallurgy, machining, and metal fabrication.
• Proficient in quality tools and QMS software.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on metal components using precision tools.
• Prepare and submit PPAP packages (Levels 1–5) per requirements.
• Review drawings to ensure product compliance and quality.
• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts.
• Maintain quality documentation including control plans, FMEA, and process flows.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Assist in root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Monitor and report quality metrics and trends.
