Job summary

RENOLIT in La Porte, IN is seeking a mid-level Quality Engineer to plan, implement, and maintain quality management systems, ensuring product conformance and customer satisfaction. You will oversee manufacturing and engineering processes, perform audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a BS degree, 3–5 years of quality experience in manufacturing, and familiarity with plastics and engineering polymers. On-site work with standard schedule and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related discipline preferred.
• 3–5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in automotive or plastic manufacturing industries preferred.
• Familiar with plastics and engineering polymers.

Responsibilities

• Perform product and process audits to verify quality before shipment.
• Verify accuracy of quality requirements and inspection documentation.
• Use precision measuring tools to identify discrepancies and calibrate as needed.
• Document deficiencies and track repetitive issues.
• Troubleshoot daily issues and determine root causes; engage relevant departments.
• Assist during pilot runs to determine undocumented quality requirements.
• Maintain the customer complaint system and coordinate investigations.
• Support internal audits and ISO 9001 surveillance/re-certification.
• Participate in continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Provide training on product operation and quality information.
• Support Continuous Improvement / Special Projects as needed.
