Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC in Hudson, MA is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer for plastic injection molding to own quality performance and drive improvements across manufacturing operations.

You will lead quality strategy, develop plans, support new launches, and ensure products meet customer and quality standards through ISO 9001:2015 compliance, CMM-based inspection, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong GD&T and blueprint reading knowledge.
  • Experience with FAI and PPAP preferred.
  • Experience programming and operating CMM equipment using PC-DMIS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality strategy and execution across injection molding operations.
  • Develop quality plans and support new product launches.
  • Provide timely communication of test reports to customers.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues with corrective actions.
  • Develop and control inspection plans for molding operations.

Quality Engineer – Plastic Injection Molding
About the Job

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer with experience in plastic injection molding to take ownership of quality performance and drive measurable improvements across manufacturing operations.

This is an active quality role for someone who can challenge the status quo, resolve complex quality issues, strengthen processes, and ensure products consistently meet customer expectations and applicable quality standards.

  • Position: Quality Engineer – Plastic Injection Molding
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, based on business needs
  • Compensation: Dependent on experience
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
The Opportunity

The Quality Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across injection molding operations. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing and quality teams.

Essential Functions
  • Lead quality strategy and execution across injection molding operations.
  • Develop quality plans, perform contract reviews, and support new product launches.
  • Provide timely communication and delivery of test reports to customers.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues through effective corrective actions.
  • Develop and control inspection plans for molding and secondary operations.
  • Support and enforce the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
  • Utilize and program CMM, Micro-Vu, optical comparators, and handheld measuring equipment.
  • Assist the quality team with various testing requirements.
  • Mentor and develop quality team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex manufacturing and quality challenges.
Ideal Candidate Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Strong blueprint reading experience and knowledge of GD&T.
  • Understanding of FAI (First Article Inspection) and PPAP.
  • Experience programming and operating CMM equipment using PC-DMIS.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented professional with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and maneuvering.
