Job summary

Prattwhitney in the United States is seeking a Quality/Engineering Leader to drive root-cause analysis, oversee process investigations, and coordinate corrective actions across multiple teams.

The role includes reviewing First Article inspections, audits of product/work instructions, and guidance for OEM Inspectors, with emphasis on Lean and Six Sigma principles. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Maine, offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions
• Review and approve First Article inspections and Process Tryouts
• Perform product, process and work instruction audits
• Interface with various Engineering groups and Customer Support to resolve technical/quality issues related to engine manual repairs and other approved technical data
• Lead and participate in various teams in support of the unit’s CORE goals
• Review and implement various regulatory requirement changes
• Provide technical guidance and training to OEM Parts Inspectors
• Assist with Escape investigations within Business Units
• Actively participate on plant wide team

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 2 or more years’ experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations management, quality or related environment, or a Master’s degree and at least 1 year of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment
• Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams
• Demonstrated proficiency managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience in an aerospace/defense manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or working toward certification
• Demonstrated effective root cause determination skills (Red‑X, Fault Tree, etc.)

Salary & Benefits

Salary range: 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD.
