Job summary

Top Gun Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive product lifecycle quality from prototype through production and launch readiness. The role involves PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, and process documentation to support ongoing manufacturing operations.

You will work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure dimensional quality, metrology methods, and supplier quality issues are resolved, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
• : 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• : Experience supporting welding, fabrication, assembly, stamping, or other high-volume manufacturing processes.
• : Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems.
• : Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, GD&T; and statistical quality methods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of customer product, quality, and engineering specifications.
• Lead quality activities for new product/program launches.
• Coordinate quality actions with production personnel.
• Train and mentor quality and production staff on standards and inspection requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement, scrap reduction, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Develop and maintain PPAP submissions and quality documentation.
• Support supplier quality activities and resolve supplier-related issues.
• Review corrective actions and ensure recurrence prevention.
• Serve as liaison between customers, quality, engineering, and suppliers.
