Job summary

OMG Inc. is a leading manufacturer of fastening products for the roofing and construction industries. The Quality Engineer will support cross‑functional teams to identify risks, investigate quality problems, and ensure product quality and compliance with OMG standards.

You will develop qualification plans, deploy APQP tools like FMEA and Control Plans, analyze data, drive CAPA, and collaborate with suppliers to meet OMG quality standards. Travel 10–15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading and implementing quality improvements.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred; ASQ certifications encouraged.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and statistical software (Minitab).
• Strong statistical skills and knowledge of Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
• Develop and execute qualification plans for new products and changes to existing products and processes.
• Develop and deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning tools including FMEA, Control Plans, Risk Assessments and PPAP.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine root causes of customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze data to identify quality improvement opportunities and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality.
• Drive improvements in the corrective action system to ensure timely, permanent resolutions.
