Job summary

IDEX Health & Science in West Henrietta, NY is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure products meet specifications, quality and regulatory requirements. You will lead investigations, drive corrective actions, and partner with operations and suppliers to improve processes and quality metrics.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 3–5 years of quality experience, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years Quality Engineering or related engineering experience.
• Ability to lead teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Familiar with batch and component assembly in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Experience with IS0 9001 or similar quality systems.
• Proficient in MS Office and Minitab; ERP/document control familiarity.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and supplier quality audits.
• Ensure compliance to ISO 9001, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement quality planning, control plans, and FMEA.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to improve processes and product quality.
• Develop KPIs, databases, and countermeasures for continuous improvement.
• Support Material Review Board activities and supplier feedback.
• Provide training on quality and continuous improvement topics.
