Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support Oshkosh manufacturing operations. You will own quality processes, address supplier and customer quality issues, and lead root-cause investigations while developing and implementing CAPAs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in quality roles, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience with SOPs, KPIs, and standard QC tools. This contract-to-permanent role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of quality/manufacturing/engineering experience.
• Experience communicating with suppliers and/or customers on quality issues.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, inspection, and quality control practices.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
• Experience developing and maintaining SOPs and quality procedures.
• Strong analytical and data-analysis skills.
• Experience monitoring quality and manufacturing KPIs.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and suppliers on quality concerns and corrective actions.
• Inspect and test assembled products for defects and conformity.
• Analyze blueprints, drawings, specifications, and data.
• Determine inspection procedures and measurement methods.
• Perform dimensional inspections with calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Review inspection data to ensure product conformance.
• Identify nonconforming products and disposition them.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Investigate internal, supplier, and customer quality issues.
• Lead root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Whys, etc.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Create and update SOPs and quality procedures.
• Monitor KPIs to identify trends and improvements.
• Provide hands-on quality support to production teams.
• Train production personnel on quality requirements and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce defects and waste.
• Work independently while collaborating with stakeholders.
