Responsibilities

Position: Quality Engineer Manufacturing
Pay: (DOE)
Job Location: W160 S6609 Commerce Drive, Muskego, Wisconsin 53150
Monday - Friday
Overview:
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain quality control systems
  • Identify required specifications per customer print, determining an appropriate level of variation and monitoring quality assurance rates
  • Design automated testing systems and quality control workflows to improve the efficiency of the quality assurance process
  • Collect data about instances of product errors and investigation of possible solutions by troubleshooting the manufacturing or design process
  • Document initial quality standards and the actual quality of products during production
  • Find defects, help determine the causes of those defects, and assist to create resolutions
  • Teach production staff how to use effective quality controls and supervise outcomes
  • Work closely with design and production teams to solve problems.
  • Respond to questions about how to achieve quality goals and implement changes to reduce the instance of human or machine errors
Duties:
  • Determining quality improvement factors
  • Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of the manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment
  • Making sure processes adhere to quality standards
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
  • Programming computerized measuring equipment, such as CMM, Keyence, and GMM
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of relevant software, quality assurance methods, measuring tools, gages, and quality manufacturing processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong Math Skills
  • Knowledge of metals machining
  • Attention to detail
  • Analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle stress
  • Capable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Educational Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Four (4) or more years of quality engineering experience
