Job summary

Festo USA in Mason, OH, seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure product and process quality across value streams. You will define quality standards, monitor KPIs, and support manufacturing with data-driven improvements. The role requires Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher, ISO 9001 knowledge, and experience with CAQ/MES, SAP, and control plans.

You will train teams, collaborate with suppliers, and drive corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa analysis to sustain quality leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or quality-related education.
Five+ years of professional quality experience; experience at Festo is a plus.
Proficiency with Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher and quality tools (8D, 5 Why, A3 Reports, Ishikawa).
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ideally IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3.
Experience with Control Plans, Inspection Plans, PDCA, SPC, and FMEA; SAP and MS Office.
Fluency in English and local language.

Responsibilities

Define activities, processes, and standards to fulfill quality requirements for manufactured materials, components, and products.
Monitor quality KPIs for the operational unit and the value stream.
Establish quality standards and guidelines related to products and processes and contribute to their development.
Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes against internal and regulatory standards.
Report and troubleshoot deviations and defects in manufacturing.
Coach and support teams, and communicate quality expectations with suppliers.
