We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage & Infrastructure Engineer to provide field-based quality and technical oversight across a large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure program.
This position will focus on Low Voltage systems, structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, controlled-environment requirements, commissioning, energization, connectivity, and operational readiness. The successful candidate will work closely with construction, commissioning, technology, and project delivery teams to ensure installations are properly executed, tested, documented, and ready for critical project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide field quality and technical oversight for Low Voltage and infrastructure installations across multiple buildings.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality controls for work performed within ISO 5 and highly controlled environments.
- Support planning and execution of L1-L5 commissioning activities, including readiness planning, training, transition, energization, and testing.
- Provide quality oversight for rack installation, equipment installation, HAC activities, and associated Low Voltage infrastructure.
- Support L3 commissioning, Ready-for-Service (RFS) activities, and operational readiness milestones.
- Verify network and connectivity requirements are completed in accordance with project schedules and commissioning milestones.
- Review fiber installation requirements, including fiber pulls, cable routing, splicing/termination, testing, and documentation.
- Monitor Low Voltage cabling workmanship, cleanliness, particle-control requirements, and corrective actions within controlled areas.
- Help identify and minimize installation defects, patching, rework, contamination, and other conditions that could impact project readiness.
- Monitor water-system quality activities where applicable, including filtration, flushing, filling, and sediment-control conditions that may affect construction or commissioning.
- Review test results, inspection records, mitigations, corrective actions, and required project sign-offs.
- Support final energization, commissioning, and Go-Live / operational readiness activities in coordination with the general contractor, project owner, technology teams, commissioning teams, and other delivery partners.
- Enforce applicable controlled-environment and quality requirements and escalated significant quality or readiness risks.
- Participate in cross-functional quality initiatives and help develop long-term corrective and preventive measures for recurring issues.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of inspections, testing, deficiencies, corrective actions, and project readiness.
- Support project leadership in identifying potential risks before they affect commissioning, energization, or operational turnover.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Construction Management, Quality, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience with Low Voltage systems, structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, construction quality, commissioning, field engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, installation requirements, testing documentation, and project schedules.
- Strong understanding of field inspection and quality-control practices.
- Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, commissioning teams, technology teams, and project leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve technical and quality issues in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in data centers, mission‑critical facilities, high‑availability infrastructure, controlled environments, or other technically complex facilities.
- Experience with fiber optic infrastructure, structured cabling, network connectivity, racks, HAC, Low Voltage systems, or telecommunications infrastructure.
- Experience supporting L1-L5 commissioning, energization, RFS, Go-Live, or operational readiness.
- Familiarity with ISO-controlled environments and contamination-control requirements.
- Relevant certification in Low Voltage, telecommunications, engineering, commissioning, quality, or construction.
- Experience supporting large-scale construction projects through installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
