Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Appleton, WI is seeking a Quality Engineer to support current and future manufacturing operations and improve productivity through people and technology. Our Facility in Appleton, WI manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense as well as Industrial and Medical Industries.

The role covers defining quality requirements, supporting all departments, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
3–5 years of production/inventory control experience in manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Proficient technical writing and documentation; attention to detail.
Able to analyze problems, plan, and prioritize.
Proficiency with MS Office and MRP/ERP systems.
Strong communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Define and communicate quality requirements for assigned customers and programs.
Support receiving, in-process and final quality control.
Recommend efficient, quality-oriented processes.
Provide customer interface on quality issues.
Collaborate with sales, purchasing, production, and contract management.
Interface with suppliers to correct material problems.
Support manufacturing with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor quality management system and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Handle hazardous waste management in the work area.
Perform other assignments as required.
