Job summary

ZEISS Group in Maple Grove, MN, is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive Lean-based process improvements and ensure product and process quality within the QMS.

You will lead cross-functional teams, perform RCA/CAPA, conduct 6S and ISO audits, develop standard work, and help sustain ISO 9001, 14001, and 17025 systems to deliver measurable operational excellence.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; 3–5 years' quality/CI experience; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Qualifications

• Lean principles and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with RCA, CAPA, and data interpretation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (6S, VSM, DMAIC, PDCA).
• Develop and implement process improvements including flow mapping and standard work.
• Serve as liaison to Global Lean Team to deploy standardized Lean practices.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, warehousing, procurement, quality, and production staff on CI strategies.
• Provide training on continuous improvement and Lean tools.
• Conduct 6S, ISO audits, and process confirmations; report results and drive closure.
