Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead root-cause analysis, drive corrective actions, and strengthen the quality system across supplier, process, and product areas.

You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and suppliers on PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and capability studies to ensure robust quality for high-performance fitness equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of quality engineering in manufacturing.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Working knowledge of SPC, Cp/Cpk, MSA and statistics.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis for trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional influence.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and core quality tools (PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA).
• Experience with precision measurement, GD&T, CMM programs (Calypso/PC-DMIS).
• Experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analyses and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• collaborate with Ops, Eng, Purchasing and Suppliers on quality issues.
• Develop and maintain QMS, ISO 9001 compliance activities.
• Deliver quality training to raise awareness and capability.
• Support new product launches with PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA.
• Drive supplier quality improvements and SCARs and containment.
• Analyze customer data to identify trends and corrective actions.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen based improvements in manufacturing.
