Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Quality Department at Commerce Park. The role focuses on improving processes for painted, assembled, or kitted products, partnering with the Quality Supervisor to implement robust quality controls and new processes using Six Sigma tools.

Ideal candidates will have an engineering degree and 3+ years in manufacturing/quality, with knowledge of statistical methods and measurement equipment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• 3+ years experience in Manufacturing and Quality.
• ASQ CQE and/or CSSGB or BB certification desired.
• Proficient in problem solving.
• Working knowledge of measuring equipment.
• Statistical concepts; advanced methods a plus.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SolidWorks a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvement project teams, incl. Six Sigma and T&OE.
• Perform root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support global QA initiatives as required.
• Track cost of quality and cost of non-quality metrics for the facility.
• Complete ISIRs for new products, processes, and vendors.
• Participate in PFMEAs for new product introductions.
• Develop ongoing manufacturing/quality metrics for the facility.
• Assist in ISO 9001 audits and internal audits.
